Geocells are strong, lightweight 3-dimensional cellular confinement systems which imitate the structure of a honeycomb. Also known as HDPE perforated geocells, they are widely regarded as a highly reliable solution across many different applications.


High Density Polyethylene


Geocells are fabricated from ultrasonically welded, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) strips. Being made from HDPE strips allows them to be easily expanded, and also aids in forming their honeycomb-like structure. While the perforations in the structure allow a release of water pressure, the non-cohesive material fillings within the HDPE perforated geocells make them strong and rigid, and the textures in the walls of the structure facilitate smooth soil-cell wall interaction.
