We at Oceanglobal, manufacturers and suppliers of Geocell.

Geocells are strong, lightweight 3-dimensional cellular confinement systems which imitate the structure of a honeycomb. Also known as HDPE perforated geocells, they are widely regarded as a highly reliable solution across many different applications.

High Density Polyethylene

Bidirectional Drainage System

High Density Polyethylene

Geocells are fabricated from ultrasonically welded, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) strips. Being made from HDPE strips allows them to be easily expanded, and also aids in forming their honeycomb-like structure. While the perforations in the structure allow a release of water pressure, the non-cohesive material fillings within the HDPE perforated geocells make them strong and rigid, and the textures in the walls of the structure facilitate smooth soil-cell wall interaction.

Dimensional Accuracy

Bidirectional Drainage System

High Density Polyethylene

Ocean geocells are rigorously tested for quality, and ensure a high level of dimensional accuracy, as well as being incredibly strong and durable. Civil development works such as roadways tend to be expensive, both economically and in terms of natural resources. These HDPE perforated geocells offer economic benefits for such applications, while fostering conservation of our natural resources.

Bidirectional Drainage System

Bidirectional Drainage System

Bidirectional Drainage System

Ocean geocells provide and effective bidirectional drainage system, and are incredibly easy to install. Whilst still being lightweight, they are incredibly strong and are able to bear a significant weight load, providing substantial support for geotechnical structures. They also boast a high void index and high resistance levels to external forces and substances.

Applications

Additional Information

Geocells can be used when in contact with rocks, soil or any other material involved in civil engineering application. They provide support and protection for geotechnical structures such as embankments and slopes. These HDPE perforated geocells are widely used by landscape architects, highway authorities

and engineers, housing and retail developers, drainage consultants, and local authorities.

Common applications include:

  • Reservoir linings
  • Embankment support
  • Container yards and logistics terminals
  • Landfill closure systems
  • Industrial flooring
  • Roads
  • Soil stabilization
  • Retaining walls
  • Slope protection and erosion control
  • Slope platforms
  • Tree platforms
